As part of the current eYe Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN collection, we get a look at the popular New Balance 1500 done up in a blue hue makeup by designer Junya Watanabe. Featuring suede and nylon uppers, the kicks take on a very classic, casual look. They are scheduled to release as a Japan exclusive with a premium price point of ¥31,000 (Approx. $331 USD).

Most ppl in the US don’t have that kind of taste. Yes the price is idiotic. If you had money you’d buy it.

THANK YOU TY. I agree with that 100% The chain shoe store ABC-Mart in Japan (which is like Japan’s version of Payless and Shoe Pavillion) gets all the really kick ass NBs…(and they even get Lim. Ed. Converse Chucks) but the U.S. always gets crap.

NB isn’t THAT bad, But yeah these are WAAAAAAY overpriced and really don’t look that special. The real problem I have with NB is that they have these 3 different divisions and the U.S. gets the Garbage plain shoes, While the U.K. and Japan get all kinds of Love and from what I hear from people at NB they like it like that. Most NB fans do not!

can we say overpriced orthopedic. New Balance has maintained a tight grip on confortable yet hideous for many years. A designer collaboration doesn’t seem to have helped this Boston company compete with the likes of AMQ-Puma, or Adidas Porsche, or any other cross-over collabs. Way to bandwagon & simultaneously suck. Thanks grand-pa
