Having already garnered success in the music industry with their 2002 LP release “Lord Willin” and critical acclaim with their 2006 release “Hell Hath no Fury”, Virginia duo Clipse aim towards the apparel market with the inaugural release of Play Cloths. The collection is scheduled to release at select boutiques including Commonwealth on November 21st, 2008. Along with the drop, Clipse will be hosting a release party at the Virginia store location with a special appearance earlier in the day. Images of the lineup can be seen after the jump!

The release last night was some shit. Way too crowded and way too hot. Not to mention, some bitch yacked all over Commonwealth’s floor and started spazin’. I guess she had a little (or a lot) too much to drink ?

ehh, nothing here really impressed me.
i expected more out of play cloths with clipse on there.
i mean very clean. but the colors on those tshirts are dirt ugly.

same with that hoodie. why would they choose yellow as an accent?

Those two albums, along with their first release (EAF?) and their numerous mixtapes show they’re a creative force when it comes to heavy beats meeting witty, hard lyrics.

However, I feel these cats are moving away from what made them distinctive. Singing with Joss Stone? Mixing with Timbaland? Selling clothes*? Talking about making movies? OMGIESSS… where are the bumper stickers?

Style is way too BAPE/BBC (i know this is what they rap about wearing, but a little different is nice too..). Oh wait… “Everybody meet Mr Me Too”

These t-shirts are very so-so. Not seeing anything different here. XYGZ
