Nixon for Barney’s NYC 2008 Holiday Collection
by L.A. Ruano, November 21, 2008

Southern California based premium watch makers Nixon create their latest set of custom limited editions watches in celebration of upscale department store Barney’s 50 years of the peace sign. The collection follows a Happy Hippie theme integrated into Nixon’s popular 51-30 watch platform. Comprised of four unique versions, the pieces are all individually numbered featuring either a six-hand Japanese movement with 1/10th second subdial chrono and date or a Swiss three-hand movement with tide subdial amongst 300 meter water resistant stainless steel casing. The collection will range from $500 to $8,800 in price depending on material integration, with availability exclusive to Barneys Co-Op stores.

the rose gold edition is awesome however the 51-50 is like wearing a whopper on your wrist. Now when the 42-40 comes in rose gold i will be first in line.
Last Years Rose Gold edition was waaaaaaaayyy cooler!
I’m usually down with Nixon, but those are so ugly ass watches! No. Those carry no respect. The other watches they dropped for Barneys were legit, but these are garbage…
Damn! for all that $? Im good with my gshock…
Dope…and I agree – Nixon needs some collabs.
These are some hideous watches. Nixon shouldn’t be used for anything unless you need to have a watch on while skateboarding or something where you could fall and get really hurt.
And anyone that would buy a Movado is a little bit out there.
That last watch looks like somebody spent their Vegas winnings on that lame watch…nice nuggs on the band???
Wack nixon watch for $8800, in all likelyhood with a quartz movmt also. lol at the peeps that pick this up
That third watch is crazy.
Nixon always drops hot shit.
8,800? wtf i’d rather get a movado or a rolex
HOT. A lot of peeps under rate Nixon, but they make some nice stuff. More companies should do collabs with them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
