For this year’s SEMA event, Scion brought on a few of the industry’s top notch designers to rework a Scion car model of their choice. Eddie Hahm of Fast Eddie’s Garage, gave the popular tC silhouette a full on retro flare exemplified by the various use of hot rod referencing throughout including a an extreme interior makeover and custom exterior body work. With some help from Commune, 02 Motorworks, Evil Goose, Design Craft and F.I.S.M, the car represented a one-of-a-kind vintage meets new school approach. Pics can be seen after the jump!

@decs Form follows function or function follows form, hmm they(designers) should write a book on that; hold on they have, ‘undreds of ‘em.

There are so many sick things about this car. I agree some things could have been done better, mainly the graphics. Obviously not everyone understands the idea of a theme car.

WHAT!? sorry..I just noticed the louvers on the hood..Ram Air?? Probably not a Ram Air and a Cold Air Intake. Hmmmmmmmmm

alot of designers these days are forgetting the basic principal “form follows function”. For example..the pipes comming out of the front bumper better be attached to a cold air intake or they are just plain stupid. Items placed for quirkiness that do not serve a purpose..well..that just speaks for itself. It is not design, its rediculous. The straps on the hood..what purpose do those serve? The rivets..are they attaching something to something? Those things on the front fenders??????

looks pretty sick, but they put the tiger mouth in the wrong place. should have been closer to the front of the car!
