Miles Davis x Supreme 2008 Fall/Winter Collection
by Eugene Kan, November 3, 2008

Easily considered one of the most highly-respected and influential artists of any genre within the 20th century, jazz musician Miles Davis has wide-spreading impact over numerous mediums. Post-World War II, his contribution to the world of Jazz among other things is still heart felt and truly memorable. To pay homage to Davis’ 50th anniversary of arguably his greatest achievement, “Kind of Blue”, Supreme has looked to the Miles Davis Foundation and Sony Music to create a special music-inspired release. Three of Miles Davis most cherished works, Kind of Blue (1959), Nefertiti (1968) and On the Corner (1972) will all see a special re-release. Each feature an exact replica, 12″ album cover and have undergone a digital re-mastering process with bonus tracks and stickers for each album. In addition a series of t-shirts will match up with each album. The collections will begin to release on November 6th at Supreme NY and LA followed by a November 8th release in Japan. Online releases will take place on November 10th for both Supreme USA and Supreme Japan.

Supreme dudes are up on some dope shit but let people come across it and decided it’s dope cuz it is, not cuz Supreme packaged it up for them to consume
a love supreme
They should have done a wrap-around shirt of Bitches Brew. Nice idea, though I suspect that most that buy these won’t listen to the cd. The music will just add a few dollars to the total they receive for the cd/shirt on Ebay.
One minute bad brains next minute miles davis, next week Moby?
Never heard of this guy… CD is a must cop though!
My favorite Miles Davis quote…
“If somebody told me I had only one hour to live, I’d spend it choking a white man. I’d do it nice and slow.”
Gotta love the balls on that man to say that shit in an interview! Props to Supreme!
Hmmm… they keep showing different pics. I was going to work the other day and stopped and looked at the supreme catologe and they said the price was 7300 yen. the shirts they only showed two shirts and they were different…
People who’ve never thought to listen to Miles will still buy just because of the brand name.
i think this is a great idea…hopefully they wont go for to much..then i will definetly pick one of these up
