English fashion designer to the stars, Matthew Williamson, has been announced as the next guest designer for H&M’s upcoming campaign. Known for his Indian influence within garments, Williamson will bring those elements into a women’s range releasing in select locations on April 23rd, 2009 followed by a summer line offered at all H&M outlets in May, which includes a menswear collection. With their last capsule launch alongside Comme Des Garcons causing such a frenzy amongst enthusiasts, this will surely bring forth some of that very same energy.

Yeh, I went to check out the CDG line on the opening day, arrived about 5pm and it was ALL gone. The only thing that was left were a few XL shirts and some shoes. (Womens line seem to be a bit better though)

i work at h&m and when the comme des garscon released, people were waiting in line since 12am. Our store had 5 of the 10 dresses produced for the US. and it was wild hell. people fighting for scarfs and all that stuff.

I live in Pittsburgh and was very sad that we didn’t even get a taste of the Comme line, as that was the only reason that I even walked into an H&M in the last couple of years.

And what was funny is that no one knew about the Comme line in the Pittsburgh Mills Mall and the girls that knew about it as the Ross Park Mall gave me the biggest attitude about it.

Fuck them. I hope line with Williamson looks good though. It’s funny how a company has to bring in major artists to bring their piss poor, Ikea of clothing brand back into the minds of people.
