Junya Watanabe MAN Varsity Blazer
by L.A. Ruano, November 21, 2008

The newest Varsity silhouette to hit the market comes in the form of a hybrid piece by renown Japanese designer Junya Watanabe. Combining the traditional ribbed shawl collar, snap buttons and extra-heavy felted wool, the garment is not only a classic varsity jacket but every bit a blazer as well. Although very distinct and original, this finely executed piece retails for a pricey $1,500 USD at retailers including Bloomingdales.

^ Definitely dude. That’s what America is about. That said, the jacket isn’t for me.
lol at the kanye west comment. I get what you’re saying but i dont think that you should sweat it.
“Style of your own”? – you’ve already lost that battle cause you’re on a streetwear blog! Fear not, chances are that unless you have a big old busted jaw you wont look anything like him at all…If you like something, make it yours…
Dosnt look worth $1500
i tried it on a month ago at bloomingdales, and that jacket is one of the best pieces i have tried on in a long time. looks really clean.
this is one overseas/non-US release japan can keep. wouldn’t be caught dead in this piece.
Agree 1000%
It is a nice jacket. But I have to say. If I saw someone wearing this, I would think that they were doing a “Kanye West” thing. Which would then lead me to believe that they have no style of their own.
