adidas Originals Winter Craftsmanship Conductor Felt & Rod Laver DP
by L.A. Ruano, November 24, 2008

As part of their winter craftsmanship pack, adidas Originals presents two timeless models receiving a lux treatment. Designed in collaboration with Grand Slam champion Rodney George “Rod” Laver, the clean court designed “Rod Laver” was originally introduced in 1970 as Laver’s first signature shoe. The slimline, low profile classic tennis silhouette is now re-introduced with a houndstooth textile and leather upper, still retaining its classic look. The second sneaker was first seen in 1987 as Patrick Ewing’s signature shoe, made popular in the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. Appropriately titled the Conductor, the sneaks are given a felt application for a more refined, innovative look that brings it nicely up to date from its original basketball roots.

I repeated myself a bit there…and forgot to say…BOTH OF THESE JOINTS ARE FRESH AS HELL…COP EM!!!!
For those leaving the Supra comments and questioning the “originality” of the Conductors…try and remember that before there was even such a thing as Supra…there was Adidas. The paragraph explained that Patirck Ewing balled in them. I dig Supras…I think they are a good brand. I think you should all give respect where respect is due as far as originality goes. Supras are lifestyle shoes modeled quite a bit from old skate sneakers. Is that original? Show love and respect where it’s due people….
kicking myself for not copping these lavers a few weeks ago. ill.
both are available at davidz.com
i already bought the high tops
oh wow, I love those high tops. where are they available
uhhhh yeah those look a WHOLE lot like supra skytops… very “original”
is the felt flexible? looks it, but is it possible to fold down?
The lavers are fresh…would of rather seen the Top Ten instead of the Ewing. Top Ten was a far superior shoe compared to the heavy Ewing…plus somewhat similar in looks.
those feltish hightops remind me up a supra look
