Continuing Microsoft’s latest “I’m a PC” campaign, Pharrell Williams gives his insight not only on the state of technology but how music and life tie into the N.E.R.D moniker. Certainly more entertaining than some of the recent comedy driven pieces, Microsoft hits the nail on the head with this intellectual web-only short.

    I can kind of understand that Pharrell wants to promote NERD cause NoOne Ever Really Cares about the band (In Search of.. was great, their following two albums have been poor). What pisses me off is when people act as though money grows on trees and there is an infinte amount for the taking. That is YOUR accumulated labour that P is taking ~love Pinko

    Bullshit. I work at an Apple reseller in NYC and I know firsthand that Pharrell uses a Mac-based studio workflow. It’s easy to forget that Pharrell, Justin Long (“I’m a Mac”), and John Hodgeman (“I’m a PC”) are all getting paid in very real dollars for their very empty endorsements. I make no arguments for or against any one platform, but before you buy that next computer with your idol’s face on the box, remember that celebrities have bills, too.
