Nigo’s A Bathing Ape Book Signing

Nigo held his book signing for A Bathing Ape’s 15th Anniversary retrospective book yesterday. Taking place at colette Paris, there were definitely more than a few people eager to meet the man behind Japans most successful and popular streetwear label of our time. The book is available in a colette blue colorway limited to 300 units as well as a few other select colors featuring Bape’s trademark camouflage print. I won’t completely count Bape out because they come out with the odd thing that is not hideous, but Nigo an ‘em haven’t done anything progressive or interesting in a decade.
That’s a good look, wish I was there. I don’t wear a lot of Bape but I like what they represent.

That’s mad cool. I would have loved to have been there. I hope Nigo is still as fresh for the 30th anniversary.

wouldn’t this huge line of people in france where bape did NOT start be a sign that bape is still alive. nigo made millions last year… I don’t remember but the man probably man over like 200 million last year… most likely twice that…
