Modeled after the same jacket worn by the French National Ski Team for the 1968 Gernoble Winter Olympics, Moncler and Men’s Vogue have reproduced the jacket to debut through a charity auction. The 220 run jacket is slated for a Barney’s New York exclusive, however five jackets are to be allocated to eBay with proceeds from the jacket sales being donated to Donors Choose. Donors Choose is an initiative which allows teachers around the US to submit project ideas for funding in hopes of further advancing the education and learning system. Over the last eight years, over $20 million USD have been spread over 45,000 different projects around the United States. The royal-blue Austin Down Ski Jacket offers a slimmed down profile with just the right amount of down stuffing to ensure warm and comfortable layer of protection against the elements. The auction seen here for a size medium jacket ends on October 27th at 7:43 pm Pacific time.
