Ever since Kanye debuted his moody auto tune ballad “Love Lockdown” from his upcoming album 808’s and Heartbreak fans seemed to be split down the middle on their verdict of the track. However you feel about Yeezy’s change of pace, one thing you have to admit is that Kanye is a visionary when it comes to his music videos. Like the song or not, I’m sure you will be interested to see the artistic piece that Kanye has put together for the song. The video, recently unveiled on Ellen’s talk show (move over MTV & BET) is filled with stunning visuals, twists and surprises.

i agree with most the shit you all are saying. i rele am actually into this new shit though. kanye’s the only rapper big enough to completely go out on a realm and try something new. his shit, like a few others out there now, isn’t just about money cars clothes hoes. that’s the thing i like about it. the beats r tight too. i heard the snippet of his “heartless” single. shits pretty dope.
I’m sorry but I’m a Kanye fan and this shit is garbage, I’m still letting the song grow on me but the video lacks a premise and i feel the “African tribal theme” is misused. I understand that it might just be for the use of the drums and can respect his need for an artistic branch but i feel that it just clashes with the song. I expected something more realistic.

i guess all i can say is personal choice…there are too many types of art forms nowdays…music is the same too…presonally, i really don;t like this style of music i’m listening…i don’t mean this style sucks…but everyonw has his or her right to hate or love everything…lol
Epic video, loved the African theme, he needs to get over that chick though, I think his album is going to be hella sappy, but I’ll cop it anyway just for the originality.

I liked it. This is beginning of the era of more alternative rap and beats. This is period started with Missy and Timberland (2003-?) will be remembered for black music growing
into something even bigger than itself. It not all about girls, cars, money, and clothes. Black people have personalities, we are all different and Kanye is the first artist to embrace and reflect that difference. Rapping simply about the streets and drugs is over. Black people have money and access to the highest levels. Artist like Lupe, Pharrell, the Cool Kids, Wale, and Kid Cudi are just the beginning.

im not going to get intellectual on this, the video sucked. im sure kanye d**k riders will enjoy this and say its artisitic but it was terrible. however he always manages to sneak in some hot girl action =)

When Kanye released the final version, I wondered what he would do for the music video. I really had a different conception of the song. But, Its Kanye’s joint. What he did here is pretty fucking interesting to say the least. I think this is how he really wanted to convey the meaning of the song. What i like about this music video is that it actually serves a purpose, and we as listeners really get to feel and sense Kanye’s conception of the song.
I concur. The popular Hip Hop songs people listen to is retarded as hell. Kanye needs to ditch this singing synthesizer shit and get back to rapping and beats.
if kanyes cashin in millions upon millions and wants do somethin different to switch it up or even just to see what reaction he gets, more power to him. all artists need to keep it fresh and creative. are we supposed to listen to the same beats year after year? evolution is inevitable in the industry. that’s how it is and always will be. to make it big ya gotta break ground.

sorry to say it mainstream hip hop is ruining the true ideals of hip hop. these mainstream artist are the reason why hip hop reputation is now considered dead. all they talk about is money, sex , and drugs and all they do is use voice transformers can we please actually have a little more content then that.
I cannot believe NO ONE has commented on the NEW colorway of the Air Yeezy, as seen on the Ellen show this afternoon – they had a Tan/Cream color scheme to match Kanye’s suit ;oP

first time i heard this song was on the vmas, and i kept expecting some ridiculous climax but it never really came. but i still dig it. i just think it could’ve been better.
