On November 25th, 2008, Kanye West will be releasing his new album, 808’s & Heartbreak. According to some rumors as well as the already released songs from the album (Love Lockdown and Heartless), this album will consist of more singing rather than rapping . Now, thanks to The Clones, we get a preview of some promo shots done for the album by photographer Willy Vanderperre. Notice that Kanye’s style has changed a lot since his previous albums. This guy is so deadpan in all of his photo’s that it makes me laugh.
I don’t hold this against Kanye, more so against the people that are on his dick. If anyone else was wearing a broken heart pin or a suit and glasses like that, people would be ripping him apart. But because it’s Kanye, and he’s the flavor of the moment, it’s great.
Although I really, really do not like Kanye. And I must say first that I would like that heart if he wasn’t wearing it to promote his music. The suite he is wearing is really nice.
It rides the fine line that if someone is wearing it out, they might come off as “Trying”. But if worn right, can look hot as hell.

I can’t approve of this new direction. I think he’s attempting to transcend hip-hop, and take some risks, which i respect, but we’re treddin’ on shaky ground here. The T-Pain voice filter, the hair cut, now the 80’s style formal wear. Of course, If the album is dope. It’ll all be forgiven…if not. The backlash is gonna be big!

The promo shot seems simplified to really give you a shot of what he put ino the album. Like with heartbreak you lose the care you might put into stayin fresh. The scruffy hair and beard is showin that run down you get. The suit is tailored to perfect though. No emotion. Reviews of the album already have me anxious to hear his latest work.
