Looks like Bansky is back at it again. Another piece of his work has been spotted in New York, this time its a rat featured in a suit with briefcase and umbrella in hand and the words “Let Them Eat Crack” in blood scripted across. Rats surely do go about their business in the New York underground, check out the pictures after the jump.

“They exist without permission. They are hated, hunted, and persecuted. They live in quiet desperation amongst the filth. And yet they are capable of brining entire civilizations to their knees.

If you are dirty, insignificant, and unloved then rats are the ultimate role model.”

Sounds like a real writer to me and not banksy. Well at least anymore.

I will always have respect for Banksy as an artist and for what “graffitti” he did back in Bristol that was so original, daring, and controversial. I appreciate that he is trying to bring his art here to the states, but what the fuck is up with him commissioning people to do the work for him? That’s complete bullshit if you ask me. It’s like when you were little and you thought up a sinister idea, but didn’t want to get caught, so you told your friend to do it for you. That way, you see it in action, but if there ARE consequences, you aren’t the one who suffers.

“who” is an effing hater. Respect the artist for the immense size, detail, and effort on his piece. Exposure is exposure. There’s no such thing as selling out in art. It’s a product you make for yourself to express yourself; if you happen to be able to sell it or sell similar products then many blessings to you. If his message is true to what he believes in, then he has been true to himself. To judge him makes you look envious of his success. Step your game up and you too can achieve greatness.

It’s not Banksy. It’s just clever marketing.
