Opening up yesterday, the Noop Show by Coarsetoys took off at the Rotofugi toy gallery in Chicago. Showing off his fantastic vinyls, Mark Landwehr’s creation’s were a huge hit. The figures combine awesome construction with thoughtful concepts and superior design. Some highlights include his half man half shark and bunny inspired works. The figures are available in limited quantities with more pictures after the jump.

    [...] Noop show by Coarsetoys has introduced us to these amazing toys yesterday at the Rotofugi toy gallery in Chicago. The toys that were shown were all a huge hit..  One of them to be the half man and half shark, along with the bunny man. There’s also another toy which I actually think is incredible, the one with the guy with no head, and half a body.. The toys that they made were just amazing, I mean i’ve never seen so much uniqueness and innovation in a toy. If I was in Chicago I would in fact visit this exhibition which will take place until October 5th, 2008. via HB [...]

    saw this exhib. in person today, definitely worth checking it out Was really impressed with the quality considering most of these are hand-painted original sculptures. Even left with something nice to take home…muuhahahaha!

    don’t know if it’s supposed to be, but the man in bunny costume/gangster looking bunny man seems to be an allusion to the flick Donnie Darko
