Capitalizing further on the fame of the whole Nike Mag which was an influential prop in the movie Back to the Future II, the concept is set for another return. Initially Nike applied the Marty McFly-worn Nike Mag colorway on the flagship basketball shoe, the Hyperdunk. Allegedly in the works is the same application on one of Nike’s most advanced skate shoes, the Air Zoom Tre A.D. The colorway works unsurprisingly well on the Tre as it features the same gray uppers albeit with less prominent use of blue. Like the Hyperdunk, the Tre also glows in the dark as the Swoosh becomes illuminated in low-light situations. A release date has been slated for Holiday 2008.
