It's all about marketing, Lupe isn't a majorly commercial artist so he's not going to get massive amounts of marketing. Where-as the JB are squeaky clean and can be marketed to 11yr old girls for easy sales; Lupe is above that. In the long run though, people will look back and remember Lupe for being a respected artist and that's what is most important. He'll be able to ride it out alot longer.
