Lego Yankee Stadium
by Eugene Kan, September 25, 2008

I’m now officially convinced there’s nothing you can’t build out of Lego as Sean Kenney with the help of a grade schooler pays the ultimate albeit unconventional tribute to the world’s greatest baseball stadium. The 85-year legacy of Yankee Stadium ended on bitter sweet terms as the Yankees won on the September 21st closing night only to be eliminated from the playoff race for the first time in 13 seasons days later. Beginning in February of 2006, the stadium itself features more then 45,000 pieces of Lego and measures in at 60″ x 66″ x 14″. The painstaking construction ensures iconic pieces of the stadium are instantly noticeable such as the unique “Monument Park” and facade.
