THIS isn’t art. Your taking someone ones character that they worked on and shitting on it. Two X’s…cmon man. Ok your lines are good, but its sad when thats the only thing that stands out of your..err traced work.

of course the canvases look digital made, you’re looking at a digital photo of them. they probably look better in person, and they still suck.

warhol innovated the style and concept of pop art, that’s the difference. his works were deliberately done to challenge the stultified art hierarchy of his time, and they had political and social themes that challenged people’s perceptions of the world around them. that’s part of why warhol had to use photography and print-making as a basis for his artwork, because that is what grounds it in reality for the viewer and distances it from “high art.” i don’t like warhol at all, i would never buy a warhol even if i were the richest guy on earth, but kaws is not to be compared to an important artist like warhol and you know it. the discussions that warhol ingaged viewers in have already been done to death now, to the point of becoming a self-fulfilled prophecy, and kaws is just the most popular of the artists still shouting nothingness into the ears of whoever is too deaf to be offended.

As repetitive, inane, and contrived as artists like Kaws, Futura, Haze, and numerous others are, one has to admit that they must be doing something right if their careers have become what they are without an actual debut into the art world. In a similar vein, utter garbage MCs like Lil Wayne and T.I. keep making music and selling records for the exact same reason. It’s not the artists that are poor, but people’s taste that keeps providing their excessive paychecks.

if you all understood the type of detail that is in these painting. Just peep the definition and precision in the black lines…And Im not even the biggest fan of Pop Art.
