Ontour 2008 Fall/Winter “Cosmic Crack Ontour” Collection
by Eugene Kan, August 25, 2008

Teaming up with Dutch artist Cosmic Crack (aka Crackrock), Ontour has put together an intergalactic collection for 2008 fall/winter as the two entities have come together to offer a collection with a strong design element. The two set about things without the use of any computers when creating the designs relying solely on old-school methods of sketching, gluing, cutting, painting and the use of spirographs and photography as well. Each design has a deep meaning behind its execution including “I Rock Foil” (people who wear tinfoil to protect them against aliens), “Axis of Evil” (based on Ryugyong Hotel in North Korea), and “Blueprint” (based on Crackrock’s personal ball-point sketches). The ‘all seeing eye’ and pyramid etc. is getting tired. It’s losing its originality in street wear.
