Fallacy of Rome Teaser

by L.A. Ruano, August 11, 2008

The highly anticipated line from Lupe Fiasco, Fall of Rome, looks like it will inherit some special designs from Singapore label FALSE. Known for his involvement in overseas design, including the like of Maharishi and Swagger, this update does not come as a surprise, albeit a pleasant one. The full details are dim, but this collection titled Fallacy of Rome, awesome analogy and all, does not look like it will disappoint. In countdown mode for another two months, the website is not fully up, but stay tuned for further news regarding this project.

^word dat b sum real ass shyt u kickin k-hash.. dat title bout hella pretentious n vague ya undadigg? but den mayb da “fallacy of rome” be a metaphor for our seemingly evident power and greatness but actual frailty and meekness against the size and might of history and time.. in which case the analogy parallel to America would make sense.. YA SMELL ME??

How is “fallacy of rome” an awesome analogy, let alone an analogy at all? To say the fall of rome is an analogy of the current position of the US on the world stage makes sense. I know “fallacy” and “analogy” are both polysyllabic words thrown around by college sophmores left and right, however, this just seems to be the use of big words for big words sake…. come on guys!
