18 innovators from across the globe were given an opportunity to create their own Air Force 1 in the Nike 1World project. Previous collaborators for June included Pedro Winter, Rasheed Wallace, and Gore Texer. Now, the artist KAWS has revealed his collaboration with Nike on his blog at Honeyee. We assume that KAWS’ Air Force 1 will be for the month of July so look for these to drop very soon.

I would love to see what ideas all these haters would have for an AF1.

Those are probably one of the uglyest shoes that i’ve ever seen.I just love the sole.Common sensei us right,KAWS was cool, even cooler when he started the original fake thing but i think is enough of the skulls and the mickey mouse thing. Ripping Disney characters is not cool anymore (actually it has no being cool since 5 years ago!)

These are so weak it’s amazing anyone likes these, or KAWS for that matter. Has he ever done anything original? I mean, sure he came up with that one GENERIC skull and crossbones image (skull and crossbones were played out by the 1700’s), and that lame stitching (x’s, or crossbones, are omnipresent in his “artwork”) only reminds me of the Greedy Genius’ that are blatant rip-offs of the AF1’s. Honeyee rules, KAWS is probably a cool guy, but he needs some new ideas. “this shoe is the epitome of kaws,”- exactly my point, if the epitome of your style is putting “x’s” on something that already exists, you should probably make an actual piece of artwork before i respect your “work.”

yeah, i’m agreeing w/ E-Man, and the guy “Moccoy” makes alot of sence w/ an Air Force ONE! celebration using sb’s.

these kicks are even cleaner in person than they are in photos. a definite pickup for anyone that’s a fan of kaws but i can see people that aren’t into kaws not going wild about the shoe.

awesome shoe, although i prob won’t get it due to not liking the AF1’s silhouette that much. this shoe is the epitome of kaws and if you don’t like it then you just plain don’t like kaws. for the dude saying its too bland, kaws style isn’t exactly “in your face” ever so what the hell did you expect????

these are pretty nice, im not an airforce guy but these are pretty neat. And for the guy who said theyre bland… you can only do so much with a model of a shoe, all they are asking for is that the artist color it in a style unique to them.. and air force ones have come out in almost every color imaginable, so im quite impressed how he made these colors on this shoe look unique, with out going over the top, wont buy these though, but nice shoe.

^ …Yeah, because using a dunk to celebrate the Air Force One makes a lot of sense…

nah. much too bland for an artist of his caliber. the stitching does stick out though. (nike sb dunks would have been a better project imo)
