Lakai “Where The Wild Things Are” Collection
by Staff, July 30, 2008
The classic children’s book by Maurice Sendak “Where The Wild Things Are” is currently being adapting into a feature film by awarding winning film and skate video director Spike Jones. Since Spike is always wearing the Lakai MJ3’s, Lakai decided it would be fitting to make a shoe to tie into the film. Instead of doing just one shoe, Spike thought it would be cool to take it a step further and do something like the Wrench Pilot and Quiet Life Series’ Lakai has done in the past, and the result is a four models series consisting of the Telford, Mariano 2, Howard, and MJ3. The movie has been pushed to late 2009, however; the shoes will be available in stores mid-Summer 2008. Price range from $56 to $76 USD.

its a skate brand, they make skate shoes. how many dunk rip offs are there in the industry? its not like its hard to do. Stop acting like Lakai is a shit brand because its obviously not. All you fucking hypebeasts cant see shit.
Anything that’s not vulcanized belongs to Nike already. Thanks for playing, circle gets the square. Sorry, no late pass extended.
ive had the mid top ones for like 2 months now we got them at zumiez. there pretty nice
i’ve had the top ones for months now…
obviously they are rip-offs. but i mean look at all the rest of the industry guys… first with everyone copying the wayfarers, vans, keds… i could go on.
wow…dunk rip offs
the top shoe is a dunk and a half, just add the swoosh.
the movie is still going to be released, but it’s being entirely reshot, because Warner Bros execs thought Spike’s version was too “wierd” and “creepy”.Hollywood blows
i’ve read recently (new york magazine) that this movie has been shelved indeffinetly.
As are the Red/Black/Gray Mariano 2’s with the gum sole.
The white ones are already available through active mailorder for $52.99.
