In the debut of ELM COMPANY’s latest collection dubbed “Designer Music”, the hat brand seeks to pay homage to some of hip-hop’s hits from the so-called Golden Era of hip-hop. First up is a tribute to the DJ Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith classic tune “Summertime” from 1991, masterminded by Kevin Sanchez and Chace Infinite of Self Scientific. With a music video based around a BBQ setting, these elements make their way into the hat including the use of red/white gingham, embroidered watermelon patch and a cloud print liner. To top it off, the cap features a line from the song “Just a little something break the monotony”. Keeping in-line with the song’s release year, 91 hats will be available.

    I liked said hat when I clicked to see it (The watermellon was neat). But when I saw the front of the hat, my opinion changed. Quickly.
