Celebrating Hip-Hop’s colorful history, the adidas Originals store in Berkeley held an event showcasing local Bay Area talent both artistic and musically. On display were a wide range of mediums including graffiti, airbrushing, ink, acrylic, cut and paste and even weaving, the common goal remained to represent music through art and art through music. Amongst the crowd there was a clear indication in what direction the new school is taking, combining everything that the city has to offer and interlocking it into a new genre, where love for the art and diversity meet. With a cornucopia of colors, the soul and swagger of Bay Area culture was at full swing. Inside a jam packed house, the vibe was on point combining music of Alternative Hip-Hop act Shampu and the ladies of Hottubs, a throwback to the old school days. Big ups to the adidas fam in Berkeley for all the love.

I was one of those scrubs that attended. AWESOME! … to say the least. Sucks “Dude Ranch” couldn’t make it inside while his mom did.

Whats with all the hate nowadays? I mean if you don’t have anything good to say then just keep your mouths shut. If you hate HB so much then why bother checking it out everyday and posting comments. Hypocrites.

I don’t know what Hype beast is or how much credibility it has, but those six scrubs are the band Shampu, Don’t talk shit unless you know your shit, they are a good band and it was a nice show(producer/guy on the right/guitarist also produces songs for the likes of Goapelle and Keak). Get off the hater aid and internet shit talking and actually go see the shit before you diss everyone thats a part of it.

Seriously…I bet no more than those six scrubs showed up. Would make a great picture in the back of Vice Magazine.

i believe none of the descriptions on hypebeast carry a genuine feel anymore. It feels systematic at best with it’s creative craft. Unfortunate? Yes
