Arguably one of the world’s most recognized brand name performance fabrics, Gore-Tex has been offering a waterproof breathable for over 30 years. Although most recent developments in performance materials have yielded products technically superior to Gore-Tex, the Gore-Tex name has become a household item making its way into numerous innovations including footwear. At the time of its inception, the adidas Micropacer was ahead of the curve with the inclusion of a small computer to calculate distances travel making it an interesting part of the current sneaker scene. Two new styles for 2008’s fall/winter collection include a Gore-Tex joint as well as a silver upper with reptile accent model as well. Both styles will be available starting mid-September.
