Takashi Murakami x Louis Vuitton “Monogramouflage” Collection
by Eugene Kan, June 24, 2008

Last summer, the forefront runner in the Japanese pop-art movement, Takashi Murakami exhibited a series of art pieces at the MoCA. The exhibition included a never before seen consumer angle which included a capsule of items created by Murakami in conjunction with Louis Vuitton. New for this season is another updated set of releases between the two powerhouses in their respective fields. The Monogramouflage collection represents an interesting integration of camoflauge into the world of high fashion from its roots as a tool of combat. Items seen here include bags and select accessories which are available now at Louis Vuitton retailers.

Geez!!! Don’t be so harsh… Louis is such an iconic Brand and I disagree with the fact that people buy it for the label. We buy it for the luxury and for the quality…just because you probably can’t afford it or because you could care less of how you look or how the world sees you, does not mean that you can degrade others who actually take the time to look good or buy really good luxurious quality goods! You should think before you actually post these things! The monogramouflage collection is BEAUTIFUL in every way and I don’t exactly care what you so called Fashion Critics Say!!!!
got the case, and the belt
The problem with LV is that because there are so many fakes, even if you own a real one no-body thinks it is real. And besides who wants the same bag as a bunch of chavy looking scum.
A few years (or decades) late to be groudbreaking, or even that interesting.
i agree with aaron. these items looke like…whoever buy these things only buy them for the brand, not the look.
If you have plenty of money but can’t buy good taste… this is for you.
i hadn’t read the description first, i would have thought this was a Bape and LV collab.
WOW
