With the general release of the Mountain Edition in various black colorways earlier this year, Van’s enthusiasts were not thrilled to say the least with the quality and materials chosen. Kicking it into high gear, Van’s returns with a Syndicate Mountain Edition effort dubbed the Oakland Edition since it is a collaborative effort with Bay Area native Max Schaaf, a pro skater and superior builder of choppers. The attention to detail is simply amazing, combining canvas with top notch leather and fire-proof suede. They include custom badging on the side’s and tongue along with gold eyelets as well as handle bar grips in matching colors. The pack consists of both the Mountain Edition and Era “S”. Two colorways will release, including a Red/White and Black/White for the Holiday 2008 Syndicate Line. Stay tuned for further details.
