Kaws Yue Mingjun

Utilizing what has quickly become one of the vinyl world’s most sought after toys, New York artist Kaws has teamed up with Chinese artist Yue Minjun to create a special Companion toy for the recently debuted “Art for the Masses” show at Taipei, Taiwan’s Museum of Tomorrow. Aside from the marquee re-interpreted Companion in pink comes other toys by heralded Chinese artists including Zhou Tien Hai, Liu Ye, Jing Yu and Zhou Chun Ya. For the growing Chinese art market, the inclusion of a world famous artist like Kaws into the mix, as well as subject matter pertaining directly to the local market is a great boost for the scene. All figures have been produced in strict quantities of 500 and will not be available for sale outside of the event.
