Puma "Tommie Smith" Suede Pack

At the culmination of the 1968 Olympics, newly crowned 200 meter Olympic champion and record holder Tommie Smith made a gesture which would lead to controversy and ultimately banning him from the Olympics. His act of a raised fist on the podium alongside the 3rd place finisher and compatriot John Carlos while barefooted was to represent black poverty. To commemorate this event, a two sneaker collection of Suedes will release later this month with a repeating fist monogram along the upper as well as include golden accents. Available in August of 2008. Source: Streething
