Artist Dalek recently started up a solo show titled Desperate, Rejected and Angry at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in NYC. Dalek’s art for the Desperate, Rejected and Angry show can be described as a juxtaposition of natural objects and man-made objects to create a very smooth blend of abstract art. Despite a certain cartoon-like feel to Dalek’s art, the pieces for this show have an underlying meaning related to the primal instinct of survival versus the violent and cruel world. More pictures can be sought out here.

The collection includes an “LP” tee that features double sided look at a shelf full of vinyl. The “Good Combination” tee-shirt collection involves many of pop cultures finest couples within the last few years and these include Arnold&Willy, Prince&Michael, Crockett&Tubbs, Darth&Luke, and Monica&Bill. Rounding out the collection is a United Colors of 242 pack that includes a spray can (available in black, white, chrome and red) and a tee. Lastly, one of the more interesting pieces from anybody in awhile (and the sole women’s piece) is a silk handkerchief with a peacock feather print. Upper Playground have recently opened their first flagship store outside of the United States in Taichung Taiwan. This move comes as no surprise due to Upper Playgrounds previous experience with artists all around the world so this was natural progression.
This new flagship store will include exclusive designs by Sam Flores, Jeremy Fish, and Estevan Oriol. Some of the things you can expect to see within walls of this store are much like the hoodies, t-shirts, bags, hats, books and housewares you see in the US locations that have made Upper Playground such a recognizable name in the street-wear industry.
As the Puma Clyde ressurgence continues, here’s a look at what’s coming up for summer of 2007. The Clydes will always be a strong selling point to those who like to keep it simple since (for the time being anyways), aside from the sole, the Clyde is really only a 3 piece shoe with the toe-box, instep/outstep upper, and the Puma stripe. The upcoming colorways include purple/pink. blue/yellow, and black/red. If there’s any shoe that can give adidas Superstar’s a run for it’s money in fat laces, it’s definitely the Clyde!
